2018 Faces of the Festival

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest and Snap'd KW will partner once again this year for the "Faces of the Festival" contest. Snap'd KW will visit all of the festhalles & cover Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest events throughout the city, taking photos of all the faces of the festival!

Come up with an Oktoberfest version of a popular song that reflects the genre of your station and you could win an incredible prize!

Annual Treasure Hunt - Find the Key to $3,000

The highly anticipated Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Treasure Hunt is returning for 2018! Thousands of families participate in the annual ‘Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Treasure Hunt’ each year, competing for a chance to win $3000 in cash!

Every day throughout the festival daily clues are provided by Country 106.7 and The Record.

Participating sponsors post the clues in their locations on promotional posters provided by Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest and distributed by UPS.

Listeners are prompted to visit participating sponsors to review each day’s clues and to fill in ballots for daily draws for $100. The suspense builds as participants try to solve the trail of clues leading to King Ludwig’s $3,000 Treasure.

Once the key is found, the winning Treasure Hunter is presented with a cheque for $3,000 cash!

People's Choice Float - Text To Vote

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest and the Thanksgiving Day Parade have gone wireless. For the ninth year in a row the 150,000 spectators at the Thanksgiving Day Parade will be able to text in their votes for the People's Choice Float Award.

Congratulations to the Schneider's Race For The Taste Float ~ the winner of the 2017 People's Choice Float Award!

Spectators simply text the code on the sides of each of the floats to 54500 to cast their vote for the interactive award, and they can vote as many times as they want!
