Scott Henderson
2nd Vice-President

For his entire professional career, Scott Henderson has excelled at creating unique and memorable experiences for people; in the events he produced; the team building he facilitated; the companies he helped launch or rebrand, and the personal relationships he has cultivated. You may recognize Scott's face and voice from the stages of Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest events, but Scott has also been an instrumental leader in the festival since 2006, and a board member since 2011. As a well-connected and passionate community member, Scott was a catalyst for a focus on onboarding youthful volunteers, and creating new initiatives for Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest.

Though growing up in Kitchener-Waterloo, Scott's love and appreciation for the community has only grown stronger over the years. Scott chose to attend the University of Waterloo during which time he worked as a Molson Representative and had his first taste of being involved with Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest (2002). He fell in love with the festival immediately. Scott's passion for people and business pushed him to become an events and marketing entrepreneur and start an event company with his best friend. In the 10 years he spent as an entrepreneur in event production, he created, held and marketed over 1200 events. Utilizing this experience, Scott has been the Director of Marketing and the Director of KWO Production for Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, and been involved with many of the committees that relate to marketing, production and events: Marketing, Advertising, Ceremonies, Mascots, Miss Oktoberfest Gala etc.

In 2012, Scott transitioned from the event business to residential real estate, where he could continue to positively impact people's lives and promote the region he loves. He is grateful to have helped a considerable number of individuals and families establish meaningful roots in Waterloo Region. Scott's approach to real estate remains true to how he's always treated people and his clients, as a true partnership built on honesty, collaboration, transparency, gratitude, friendship, and with a well-thought out plan.

In this social media age, Scott's entire life is available online. You can see that Scott is a baseball fanatic and loves road trips to ballparks, enjoys doing home renovations, was recently married to his fun and exciting partner Michelle, has a spunky mini golden-doodle named Bowie and has a cat named Finnigan (who thinks he's human). Scott and Michelle live in North Waterloo and enjoy celebrating her German heritage through holidays and traditions, and especially during Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest.
